Job summary

The City of Aurora, CO is seeking a Water Conservation Program Specialist with Aurora Water to promote conservation through community outreach and customer education. You will help enforce watering restrictions and monitor water use while documenting interactions and outcomes.

This hourly role involves field work, collaboration with residents and contractors, and maintaining records to support the Water Management Plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years in customer service, public contact, field services, utilities, or related work with the public.
• Conflict resolution experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of water conservation principles and irrigation a plus.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Educates customers on water conservation practices.
• Makes contact with customers, HOAs, and contractors about water use.
• Enforces watering restrictions per Water Management Plan.
• Maintains records and prepares reports on customer interactions.
• May perform residential irrigation and soil inspections.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
