Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking a Utility Worker II to perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance, and improvement of public works facilities. You will operate light to medium equipment, assist with stormwater inspections, and may serve as a lead on projects.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year related experience, and a valid Texas driver's license. CDL Class B preferred; ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor outdoors.
• Knowledge of excavation equipment is preferred.
• Texas CDL (Class B) preferred for driving city equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance, repair, and improvement of streets, sidewalks, drainage, rights-of-way, parks, and stormwater infrastructure.
• Operate light and medium construction equipment and assist with utility maintenance and storm sewer inspections.
• Provide lead guidance and training on projects; respond to emergencies and after-hours call-outs as needed.
