Veolia | North America is seeking an Operator to maintain and operate water/wastewater treatment equipment. This role involves monitoring operating conditions, collecting samples, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, relevant certifications, and experience in the field. The position offers a dynamic work environment that may require physical labor and a commitment to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Working toward a water/wastewater treatment certificate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating conditions and gauges.
• Collect and test water and sewage samples.
• Operate equipment to purify and clarify water.

Skills

Proficiency in using PPE

Ability to operate machinery

Basic math skills

Diagnosing process and mechanical problems

Team player

Familiarity with computer programs for process control

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Associate's degree in a science/technical area (preferred)

Rhode Island Wastewater Grade I
