Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an entry-level O&M Technician I to operate and maintain water production facilities. You will monitor equipment, collect samples, run field tests, and log data under supervision.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license. You may need a water/wastewater license per site rules and will work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Requires good reading, math, writing, scientific, and verbal communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read, interpret, and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles, and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment manually and via instrumentation panels and PLCs following procedures.
• Perform CLAIR (cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, inspection) on machines and equipment and document results.
• Collect water, wastewater, industrial waste, and other samples; perform field tests and prepare chemical solutions.
• Perform routine lab tests and calibrations for portable meters.
• Learn and perform mechanical troubleshooting and basic repairs; dismantle and reassemble equipment.
• Work in outdoor and indoor environments; handle tools and move equipment; follow safety policies.
