Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a skilled Operations & Maintenance Technician to support water and wastewater treatment facilities in Pennsylvania. You will perform plant operations, adjust processes, monitor instruments, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus at least 1 year of related experience, and valid PA licenses or the ability to obtain them within defined timelines.

Qualifications

• Earned high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1-year experience in operations and maintenance of water or wastewater treatment plants, preferred.
• Ability to deal effectively with the public.
• Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and solve geometric equations.
• Ability to speak and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations and maintenance activities at the water and wastewater treatment facilities in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform maintenance activities on water distribution and wastewater collection systems, including all related components and appurtenances.
• Operate laboratory activities and biosolids management as assigned; monitor process data for compliance.
• Handle materials, tools, and equipment; procure supplies as required for tasks.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as assigned.
• Respond to emergency call-outs after regular hours when required.
• Operate motorized vehicles and equipment as needed.
