Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a WWTF Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment processes and equipment at a Rhode Island facility. You will collect samples, perform lab tests, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations while maintaining detailed records.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, experience in industrial utilities, and familiarity with SCADA/industrial control systems. Valid driver’s license and operator certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in wastewater or related industrial operations.
• Experience with SCADA or industrial control systems.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
• State wastewater operator license (if required) and driving license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems and related equipment.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and process-control analyses.
• Adjust treatment processes to maintain permit compliance and plant performance.
• Record operating data, meter readings, and maintenance activities.
• Respond to alarms, spills, and emergencies; participate in safety programs.
