Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a WWTF Operator in Rhode Island to operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment processes at the facility, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires performing inspections, sampling, laboratory tests, and maintaining records, with on-call and emergency coverage as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant experience; training and certifications are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in wastewater treatment or related industrial operations.
• Experience with SCADA or CMMS systems preferred.
• Regulated environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems and equipment.
• Inspect equipment and processes for abnormal conditions.
• Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests.
• Adjust treatment processes to ensure permit compliance.
• Record data and maintenance activities accurately.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Assist maintenance personnel and contractors.
• Maintain safe work areas and follow safety procedures.
