Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. is seeking an entry level Wastewater Operator to work in several local areas and travel to learn different processes. The role covers operating treatment plants, testing samples, and assisting with projects. A state license exam may be pursued during training, in a 1-year program.

The position requires shifts including days/night and up to 12-hour durations, with travel 50% possible to learn new systems. Training materials and study time are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office or Google Apps.
• 1-3 years of related work experience.
• Mechanical background preferred.
• Willingness to travel and learn across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and control pumps, motors, and valves to regulate flow.
• Collect and test water samples to determine impurities.
• Perform maintenance and installations of water treatment equipment.
• Maintain accurate client data on chemicals, turbidity, and pressure.
• Comply with Veolia safety parameters and report non-routine issues.
• Coordinate with purchasing for supplies and assist with data for EPA.
