Veolia Water Technologies, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Wastewater Operator to learn and operate treatment plants across multiple local areas and travel to new sites to learn different processes.

The role focuses on learning to control equipment, collect samples, and support projects during a 1-year training program, with potential progression to higher technician roles and licensed certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office or Google Apps.
• 1–3 years of related work experience.
• Mechanical background preferred.
• Willingness to travel and learn from multiple facilities across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and control pumps, motors, and valves.
• Collect and test water samples to determine impurities.
• Perform routine maintenance and new installations of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical residuals, turbidity, and pressure.
• Comply with safety parameters and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with other operators and management on non-routine issues.
• Support training and certification preparation for EPA-related exams.
• Travel to various locations to learn new treatment processes.
