Job summary

Automation Personnel Services in Greensboro is seeking a Wastewater Technician to join a team with a manufacturing and wastewater treatment background. You will operate and maintain treatment equipment, collect and test wastewater samples, and conduct lab tests to monitor quality and detect contaminants.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 5:00am–4:00pm, with the pay range at $20+ per hour depending on experience. This is a full-time position with potential temporary-to-permanent placement, and APS offers

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Understanding of chemical processes like coagulation, flocculation, and disinfection.
Proficient in operating and calibrating treatment equipment and sensors
Analytical skills to interpret test results and adjust treatment processes

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain treatment equipment such as pumps, filters, and disinfection systems.
Perform routine maintenance on treatment system to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Collect and test wastewater samples to monitor water quality and detect contaminants
Conduct lab tests to analyze chemical and biological parameters
Trouble shoot and repair equipment malfunctions
