Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a driven Wastewater Treatment or Process Mechanical Engineer to work on projects locally in Hawaii and across the Western United States. You’ll join a core group of wastewater engineers to deliver innovative solutions, design studies, and field assignments focused on treatment and related mechanical systems.

This role requires a PE license, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering; PE license required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive process mechanical engineering in water/wastewater.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and multi-tasking in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate treatment and process options to solve client challenges.
• Design and implement pilot-scale treatment systems.
• Develop facility layouts and P&IDs.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications.
• Support bidding, permitting, and site construction activities.
• Provide field inspection of treatment/mechanical equipment.
