Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer to design piping and pumping systems and oversee construction for industrial and municipal projects. You will evaluate equipment, develop calculations, P&IDs, and construction documents while coordinating with CAD teams and other disciplines.

The role emphasizes leadership within a team, delivering projects across the Western United States and beyond. A PE license and strong communication skills are essential, with a hybrid working policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university/college.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with Industrial and National Building Codes.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Experience with managing remote domestic and international staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design piping and pumping systems and provide construction oversight for a variety of industrial clients.
• Evaluate and select equipment, piping materials and valves; assist with facility layouts and develop calculations, P&IDs, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with other project disciplines and direct CAD technicians.
• Lead and collaborate with project teams to deliver complex projects in the Western United States and beyond.
