Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior Process-Mechanical Engineer to join its Infrastructure Design team in the Northwest and across the United States, focusing on water and wastewater projects.

You will work with a core team to deliver studies, designs, and field assignments, develop P&IDs, construction documents, and support bidding, permitting, and client communications. A PE license and 8+ years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8+ years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with water/wastewater.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate pumping, treatment, and process options to determine best approaches.
• Plan and design full-scale pumping, treatment systems, and improvements.
• Develop facility layouts and P&IDs.
• Prepare construction documents, drawings and specifications.
• Support bidding, permitting, and field inspections.
• Communicate complex problems and solutions with clients.
