Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer to design piping pumping systems and oversee construction for municipal and industrial projects in the Western United States. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, develop calculations, P&IDs and construction documents, and coordinate with CAD staff to deliver client solutions.

The role requires a PE license, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and strong communication skills, with a hybrid work policy and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with Industrial and National Building Codes.
• Ability to work in a team environment and receive feedback.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience managing remote domestic and international staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design piping pumping systems and oversee construction for industrial clients.
• Evaluate and select equipment, piping materials and valves; assist with layouts and P&IDs.
• Develop calculations and construction documents; coordinate with other disciplines.
• Direct the work of CAD technicians and liaise between owner and design team.
