Job summary

Arcadis, the world’s leading design and consultancy firm, seeks a wastewater process engineer to join its Industrial Water Treatment and Optimization team. This entry-level role offers exposure to front-end design, P&IDs, calculations, and field work across national projects.

Based in Novi MI or other US locations, the hybrid position provides growth into project management and technical leadership with support from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge with water/wastewater treatment processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree in environmental or chemical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Function as the wastewater process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects, with support from senior engineers.
• Support designs developing drawings, specifications, P&IDs, calculations, technical reports, and equipment selection.
• Coordinate with drafters and other disciplines to complete construction documents.
• Support engineering services during construction including submittal reviews and RFIs.
• Verify performance and conformity with design drawings through field inspection and testing.
• Perform process troubleshooting, pilot testing, bench-scale testing, and lab analyses.
• Analyze data including water quality, technology evaluations, and plant operations.
• Routinely seek guidance and implement feedback from senior staff.
