Job summary

Arcadis U.S.Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Water Wastewater Process Engineer with 7+ years of consulting engineering experience to lead design projects across the United States.

The role combines technical design, mentorship of junior staff, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on water treatment solutions. The position is hybrid, supporting client facilities nationwide with occasional international assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering
• 7+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in the industrial water/wastewater field

Responsibilities

• Function as the process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects
• Apply processes and technologies for physical/chemical primary treatment, biological treatment, membrane treatment, adsorption, filtration, disinfection, thermal evaporation and crystallization
• Receive technical mentoring and guidance from a senior process engineer
• Delegate engineering or scientific calculations/drawings to junior staff
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams to implement complex treatment solutions, and Support implementation of projects from study phase through design, construction, startup and commissioning, and operation and maintenance of treatment systems
• Assist in developing and preparing process design drawings, specifications, calculations, plans, and other technical deliverables for a variety of industrial water projects
• Field work including surveys/data gathering, QA inspections, bench- and pilot-scale testing
• Assist with system commissioning and start-up, including training plant staff
• Prepare and present to clients and at professional meetings
• Manage projects to meet client and Arcadis expectations
• Support business development including proposal preparation and client meetings
• Travel up to 25%
