Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a wastewater process engineer to contribute to design of industrial water and wastewater treatment plants. The role involves handling front-end treatment development, detailed design, and field activities across multiple US facilities within a hybrid work setting.

You will support project teams, engage in equipment evaluation, testing, and troubleshooting, and advance toward project management and client development opportunities while working with IWTO experts.

Qualifications

• Sufficient knowledge to support in the design of water and wastewater projects and prepare construction documents.
• Experience performing engineering calculations using computer software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Function as the wastewater process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects, with design tasks and support from senior engineers and SMEs.
• Support engineering designs developing drawings, specifications, P&IDs, calculations, technical reports, and equipment selection.
• Coordinate with drafters/designers and other disciplines to complete construction documents.
• Support engineering services during construction, including submittal reviews and RFIs.
• Verify performance and conformity with design drawings and specs through field inspection and testing during construction and commissioning.
• Perform process troubleshooting and optimization, pilot testing, bench-scale testing, and lab analysis of water treatment technologies.
• Analyze data including water quality, technology evaluations, and plant operations information.
• Routinely seek guidance and implement feedback from senior engineering staff.
