Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Principal to lead the Wastewater Practice in our Northeast division. The role focuses on shaping strategic direction, recruiting and mentoring staff, and driving growth and client satisfaction across civil, environmental, water resources, and traffic projects.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 15+ years of wastewater experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or related professional certification/reciprocity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, scientists, and project managers to deliver high-quality wastewater projects.
• Develop and execute business strategies, grow client base, and cross-sell services.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, QA/QC, and risk management across multiple projects.
• Maintain strong client relationships and pursue new business opportunities through proactive marketing.
