Apex Companies seeks a Principal for the Wastewater Practice in the Northeast to lead the team, shape the strategic direction of the company, recruit and mentor staff, and drive value, success and culture across the organization.

The role offers relocation flexibility to Massachusetts, Connecticut or Rhode Island, equity eligibility, and a sign-on bonus. Annual pay ranges from $180,000 to $220,000 USD with a strong emphasis on business development and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Professional leadership experience in wastewater projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and manage complex programs.
• Strong client relationship and business development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers, scientists, PMs and staff to deliver high-quality results.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, QA/QC, and risk management across multiple projects.
• Develop new clients and cross-sell services; maintain strong client relationships.
• Recruit, develop, and retain staff; foster growth and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate with senior management on strategic decisions and risk mitigation.
