Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Water/Wastewater Associate Project Manager to join our Northeast Division, with a hybrid work arrangement in Providence, RI or MA offices. The role emphasizes expanding project management duties while leveraging a strong engineering background.

A sign-on bonus may apply and relocation assistance is possible. The ideal candidate has a Civil/Environmental background, 5+ years of relevant design experience, and a PE or near-term license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 5+ years of water or wastewater systems design experience in a professional services environment.
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of projects.
• Work within prescribed budgets and monitor weekly performance.
• Develop scopes, fees, and schedules with sub-consultants under PM guidance.
• Develop technical solutions and ensure quality control on complex projects.
• Coordinate client meetings, prepare proposals, and assist with project closeouts.
