Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a WWTF Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and facility systems at a wastewater treatment facility.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing problems, and coordinating with operators. The role requires reading technical drawings and adhering to safety protocols in a unionized facility based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in industrial maintenance, municipal utilities, wastewater treatment, manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience maintaining wastewater or water treatment equipment.
• Industrial electrical, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, or controls experience.
• Welding, machining, fabrication, or pipefitting experience.
• Experience using a CMMS or electronic work-order system.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wastewater treatment equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, blowers, compressors, valves, piping, and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation problems.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Respond to equipment failures, alarms, spills, and emergencies.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and supplies.
