Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred wastewater entry-level license or certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate pumps and valves.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in 12-hour night shifts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of the wastewater facility across scheduled shifts (primarily 12-hour nights).
• Operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow; collect and test wastewater samples for concentrations and impurities.
• Analyze lab data to identify treatment issues and implement process changes to prevent non-compliance; maintain client data records.
• Coordinate with other operators, facility, and Veolia management to maintain equipment and determine optimal treatment methods.
• Complete preventative maintenance and assist with minor maintenance projects including pump, valve, and piping work.
