Job summary

Water Otter Job Board is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I to support plant operations on an assigned shift. You will learn from experienced operators, monitor processes, collect samples, and maintain records to ensure compliant operation.

Under supervision, you will perform routine process control tasks, assist with SCADA monitoring, and help with routine maintenance and safety checks. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; no experience needed for Operator I.
NC Grade I Biological Water Pollution Control System Operator Certification required within 12 months; Grade II within 18 months.
Must have a valid driver\'s license and clean driving record.
Willingness to work shifts and learn plant operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with process control by collecting, testing, and analyzing samples and monitoring key parameters.
Monitor SCADA workstations and plant equipment to maintain flows and loading.
Operate plant equipment and perform routine maintenance and data logging.
