Job summary

City of Woodburn is seeking a Wastewater Operator II to perform journey level and skilled work in the operation and maintenance of the City’s wastewater treatment plant and related facilities. The role includes preventive maintenance, sampling, data interpretation, and supporting pump stations and reuse systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years in a related facility operation, plus a valid Oregon driver’s license and certifications such as forklift and first

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED with 3+ years in wastewater operations or equivalent.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license and ability to meet driving standards.
• Training/certifications: Forklift, First aid/CPR (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain City of Woodburn wastewater plant, poplar tree facilities and reuse systems.
• Collect samples and perform process testing and data interpretation.
• Operate and assist in maintaining pump stations, conveyance systems, water reuse and biosolids handling equipment.
• Perform grounds landscaping, building maintenance and facility housekeeping duties.
