Job summary

Lake County Department of Utilities is seeking a Wastewater Plant Maintenance professional in Painesville, OH. The role involves maintaining buildings, pump stations and equipment at the Mentor Wastewater Treatment Plant, with emphasis on repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and a drug screen. Prior year of experience with mechanical/electrical equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record; drug screening required.
• 1 year of experience with mechanical and electrical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assigned corrective maintenance work orders.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment at plants or lift stations.
• Lift station maintenance including sweeping, raking, and trash cleanup.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operators to maintain treatment and collection processes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on process equipment, machinery and structures.
