Lake County Department of Utilities seeks a Wastewater Preventative Maintenance worker to perform repair, inspection and maintenance at the wastewater treatment plant in Mentor, OH. The role requires operating light equipment and completing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Essential duties include inventory management, data entry, and general grounds upkeep. Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and be able to pass a drug screening.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• A valid Ohio driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Drug screening required.
• Familiarity with basic maintenance, preventive care, general repairs, and using tools to modify parts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track and log inventory, order supplies, organize spare parts and equipment, and log data.
• Perform regularly scheduled maintenance to prevent unexpected failures.
• Clean, lubricate, oil changes, adjustments, repairs, inspect/replace parts, overhaul equipment as needed.
• Operate light equipment including tractors, lawnmowers, pumps, and transport vehicles.
• General grounds maintenance: mow, trim, edge sidewalks and driveways, snow removal, painting.
• Perform other related duties as required.
