City of Victoria TX is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Technician 2 to perform highly skilled maintenance and repair on wastewater equipment. The role includes leading a maintenance crew in the supervisor's absence and conducting regular inspections of pumps, motors, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities also cover ordering parts, training staff, and adhering to lockout/tagout and safety regulations while maintaining accurate records and reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement and a minimum of a Class D Wastewater license with ability to upgrade to Class C within one year.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations; lockout/tagout procedures; records maintenance; safety practices.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair in industrial settings.

Responsabilités

• Lead maintenance crew in the absence of the supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on lift stations and related equipment.
• Instruct workers and secure quotes for parts and supplies.
• Inspect pumps, gear boxes, and motors; lubricate, adjust, and replace components as needed.
• Ensure safe work practices and proper lockout/tagout procedures.
