Job summary

The City of Pilot Point is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Crew Leader to guide daily operations and supervise the treatment plant crew under the Wastewater Superintendent. You will help operate, maintain, and repair wastewater facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient performance.

Responsibilities include directing daily work, monitoring performance, coordinating maintenance, and reporting issues promptly, while upholding safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of total work experience, with at least one year in wastewater treatment plant operations.
• TCEQ Class C Wastewater License.
• Valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Leads, assigns, and coordinates daily work activities for wastewater treatment plant crew members under the direction of the Wastewater Superintendent.
• Monitors employee performance, provides feedback and training, and assists with corrective actions.
• Coordinates maintenance projects to ensure safety and efficiency according to procedures.
• Ensures materials, tools, and supplies are available and that work is inspected for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Operates, monitors, and maintains wastewater treatment processes, lift stations, and related facilities.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues and reports significant concerns to the Wastewater Superintendent.
• Maintains records, prepares reports, and processes leave and overtime as assigned.
