Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Superintendent to manage daily plant operations, collection systems, and the Industrial Pre-Treatment program. The role includes supervising staff, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations.

Requires leadership experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a Texas Class B wastewater operator license; a Driver’s License (Class C) is also required.

Qualifications

• High school graduation, or its equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience in municipal water and wastewater operations, at least one of which involved supervisor and managerial responsibilities.
• TCEQ Class B Wastewater Operator license.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License, Class C.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and lift stations.
• Coordinate construction projects with contractors and resolve electrical/SCADA issues.
• Train and supervise staff; maintain personnel records.
• Respond to citizen complaints; act as acting Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent in absence.
• Prepare quotes and estimates for equipment and repairs.
