Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Wastewater Operator I to oversee operation and maintenance of equipment in wastewater facilities in Pasadena, TX. You will monitor, test, and document plant performance, and respond to after-hours emergencies to ensure continuous operation.

The role requires willingness to obtain water/wastewater certification, knowledge of process control and safety procedures, and the ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study prerequisites to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices.
• Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment.
• Knowledge of regulatory rules is essential.
• Water/wastewater experience is desirable.
• Willing to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and vehicles.
• Conducts routine testing and monitoring of wells and wastewater processes; documents plant performance.
• Responds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment and support systems.
• Ensures facilities are clean, neat and secure; provides customer service when needed.
• Willing to work across different shifts and be on-call for emergencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
