Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a WWTF Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment processes to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant operation. The role involves sampling, lab tests, equipment adjustments, and documentation.

You will inspect equipment, respond to alarms, support maintenance, and uphold strict safety and regulatory standards in a field environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Experience with wastewater or industrial utilities.
• Experience with SCADA, CMMS, or industrial control systems.
• Experience operating pumps, blowers, centrifuges, belts, chemical feed systems, or similar equipment.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or instrumentation experience.
• Experience in regulated industrial or municipal environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems and related equipment.
• Inspect equipment and processes for abnormal conditions and issues.
• Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests (pH, DO, chlorine residual, turbidity, etc.).
• Record operating data, readings, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Respond to alarms, spills, and emergencies; support maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow safety procedures.
