Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator to manage the plant systems and equipment for purification and compliant discharge at the facility.

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to operate pumps and valves, collect samples, and adjust processes based on lab data, while prioritizing safety and teamwork. The ideal candidate will support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have strong computer skills (MS Office or Google equivalents).
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Able to interpret lab data to guide treatment changes.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and climbing ladders.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full operational coverage of the wastewater facility across scheduled shifts (primarily 12-hour nights).
• Operate motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow; collect and test samples for quality checks.
• Analyze lab data to identify issues and adjust processes to ensure regulatory compliance; record data accurately.
• Coordinate with other operators and management to optimize equipment and treatment methods.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with minor repairs (pumps, valves, piping).
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operating reports and support regulatory data submissions.
