Zusammenfassung

Butterball, LLC is seeking a Wastewater Operations Supervisor for our Mount Olive, NC facility to guide day-to-day activities ensuring wastewater treatment, irrigation sites, and regulatory compliance are met.

You will lead a team of entry-level contributors, manage preventive maintenance, coordinate sampling, report to regulators, and uphold safety and biosecurity protocols across plant and farm operations.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma / GED is required for entry, plus 4+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role.
• 1+ year of leadership experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role.
• Possession of a current state-issued grade 2 Wastewater Operator License or a level 1 license with 1 year to achieve grade two, back up ORC and a valid spray irrigation license.

Aufgaben

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of a team of entry level individual contributors; provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure tasks are completed; participate in HR activities such as hiring, terminations, performance management, and scheduling.
• Supervise plant parameters: wastewater plant operations, screening, grit removal, DAF units, lagoon systems, and sludge dewatering equipment.
• Develop, schedule, and control a preventive maintenance program for pumps, aerators, meters, screens, tractors, and irrigation equipment to minimize downtime.
• Oversee agricultural spray fields and center-pivot irrigation for effluent land application; monitor soil health, nutrient uptake, hydraulic loading, and planting/harvest cycles.
• Serve as back-up technical contact for regulatory agencies; maintain records and prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports including NPDES/state permits.
• Coordinate sampling/testing schedules for influent, effluent, soil, and groundwater; analyze data to adjust treatment processes.
• Enforce poultry biosecurity protocols and manage odor control systems to maintain community relations.
• Follow Butterball core competencies and safety policies in daily operations.
