Job summary

Butterball, LLC is seeking a Plant Operations leader for our Mount Olive facility in North Carolina. The role directs manufacturing activities, drives continuous improvement, and ensures on-time delivery, quality, safety, and cost management.

The candidate will manage a multi-level team, oversee budgeting, regulatory compliance, HR activities, and performance development while partnering with leadership to optimize production and service levels across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in production/manufacturing operations.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing, USDA regs, and safety programs.
• Proficient communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience administering policies and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of entry to established level contributors and supervisors.
• Oversees HR activities: hiring, terminations, performance management, and development.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, quality standards, and safety goals.
• Plans equipment availability and mid-term plant strategies.
• Seeks cost reduction opportunities and optimizes customer service.
• Monitors production metrics and drives continuous improvement.
• Oversees safety programs and manages operating budgets.
• Participates in safety audits and related activities.
