The role oversees installation and repair of sewer mains and wastewater infrastructure, directs operations, prepares performance reports, and coordinates with engineers, consultants, and vendors while maintaining regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of college/technical training resulting in an associate's degree.
• Seven years experience with wastewater systems and seven years in supervisory positions.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing personnel through staff meetings, scheduling, evaluations, and directing supervisors.
• Oversee installation/repair of sewer mains, wastewater infrastructure, pump stations, and facility maintenance; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare operating and performance indicator reports; assist with divisional budget.
• Respond to citizen inquiries and concerns.
• Develop departmental policies, procedures, goals and annual budget.
• Review plans and specifications; prepare and deliver presentations to internal/external audiences.
• Review expenditures, purchases and service procurements.
• Foster a work environment with accountability, quality, teamwork and staff development.
