Job summary

Water Otter Job Board seeks a Wastewater Treatment Operator in Milpitas, CA. Under Sr Manager, Facilities, you will operate and maintain treatment systems, collect samples, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role is on-site, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with safety training and teamwork across shifts. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in electronics-manufacturing wastewater treatment, with proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in wastewater treatment in electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliant effluent.
• Collect and analyze influent and effluent samples and maintain logs.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, valves, and control systems.
• Calibrate monitoring instruments (pH probes).
• Ensure proper disposal of wastewater and hazardous waste.
• Maintain regulatory compliance records.
• Respond to emergencies and equipment alarms.
• Follow safety policies.
