HDR seeks a WTEM Business Class Director to lead wastewater treatment and effluent management capabilities across HDR’s global practice. You will coordinate with market sectors, mentor technical leaders, and drive multi-project risk management and client-driven strategy while advancing industry standards.

The role emphasizes leadership in diverse teams, development of strategic plans, and active participation in professional organizations to raise HDR’s profile and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a professional, architecture, engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional registration and related technical experience for leadership roles.
• Experience leading diverse teams and collaborating with other HDR leaders.
• Commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build close working relationships across business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead technical risk management through reviews, advisory services and claims prevention.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development of technical tools, standards, and techniques for service quality.
• Assign qualified staff to projects and optimize work sharing.
• Develop strategic plans with market sector directors and leadership at multiple levels.
• Engage with universities and research programs to advance WTEM capabilities.
• Mentor technical leaders and support client development and project pursuits.
• Represent HDR in industry organizations and publish guidance where appropriate.
