Job summary

HDR seeks a WTEM Business Class Director to lead the Wastewater and Effluent Management program, coordinating across market sectors and operations to meet client needs. The role manages risk, advances technical capabilities, and raises HDR's profile through industry participation.

You will mentor technical leaders, support proposals, and guide project development while aligning with HDR's employee-owned culture. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for technical leadership roles.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with multiple HDR groups.
• Commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build close working relationships across offices, market sectors and operations.
• Lead technical risk management and ensure QA/QC across projects.
• Develop and apply tools, standards, and techniques to enhance service quality.
• Mentor technical leaders and oversee staff assignment to projects.
