Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking candidates for a sanitation maintenance role focused on sewer lines and treatment facilities. Responsibilities include excavation, repair, and maintenance tasks using hand tools, plus setting up barricades and working in teams.

The position may require after-hours call-outs and shift work. Applicants should be able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions and possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor and outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performs high level manual tasks involved in maintenance and construction of sanitary sewer lines and plants.
• Excavates soil and makes repairs and connections with various hand tools.
• Repairs, cleans, and maintains sanitary sewer lines and related infrastructure.
• Assembles and disassembles barricades and shoring equipment.
• May be subject to call out after hours and shift work as required.
