Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking a hands-on maintenance worker to support the sanitary sewer system construction and repairs. You will perform manual tasks, excavate soil, and connect sewer lines using various hand tools, collaborating with teammates to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Flexibility for after-hours calls and shift work is required. A Texas driver’s license with a clean record is necessary, and duties may include lifting and outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual tasks in maintenance and construction of sanitary sewer lines and plants.
• Excavate soil and repair/connect sanitary sewer lines using hand tools.
• Repair, clean and maintain sewer lines; assemble/disassemble barricades and shoring equipment.
• Work as part of a team; may be required for after-hours callouts and shift work.
