Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a Loader/Unloader at our Ellenwood, GA facility to handle waste containers, operate an autoclave, and document weights with care.

This full-time role is Monday to Friday, 1 PM to 9 PM, with benefits from day one, and requires the ability to lift heavy loads, stand for long periods, and work safely in PPE.

A strong work ethic, teamwork, and proven longevity with prior employers are valued.

Qualifications

• Warehouse/labor-intensive experience with repetitive lifting of 50–75 lb containers.
• Willingness to pass a 5 panel urine drug screen.
• Willingness to pass a 7 year background check.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Able to stand for extended periods in PPE.
• Proven longevity with employers.
• Can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lift 55lb bins and push a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate our autoclave machine.
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization).
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers.
• Stand for extended periods and work in PPE.
• Work well with a team.

We are looking to hire a Loader/Unloader for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Ellenwood, GA. A Loader/Unloader has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

What will your job involve?

• Lifting 55lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a warehouselabor-intensive job (repetitive lifitng of 50lbs to 75lb containers!!)
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
