Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a dedicated Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator in Pimento, IN. The role involves safely operating heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station to transfer, spread, cover, load and compact waste or soil while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment.
• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and ensure equipment readiness.
• Document Equipment Condition Reports and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, safe shop area after each shift.
