Job summary

GFL Industries in Cadillac, MI is seeking a Swing Driver to safely operate one or more vehicle types including Front End, Roll Off and Residential trucks on a collection route. You will deliver collected solid waste or recyclables to landfill or transfer facilities and maintain accurate service records.

Responsibilities include completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting mechanical issues promptly, keeping the vehicle clean, assisting with route planning and training other drivers,

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and drive trucks safely
• Ability to operate equipment and follow safety policies

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more vehicle types on collection routes (Front End, Roll Off, Residential).
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior.
• Manage assigned Helper(s) if applicable.
• Maintain accurate service records and reports.
• Attend safety and branch meetings and perform other duties as required.
