Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Front-End Driver to service multi-family and commercial routes in Michigan.

The role involves driving front-load or ancillary equipment, unloading waste at appropriate facilities, and maintaining safety and route records. The position requires a valid CDL and at least one year of commercial driving experience, with emphasis on safe operation and customer service on the route.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of one (1) year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate
• Must meet safety sensitive criteria per company standards
• Must demonstrate ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end trucks along designated routes to collect solid waste and transport to facilities.
• Open container enclosures and load cans for dumping; assist with positioning cans as needed.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and the public; report issues to supervisor when needed.
• Maintain logs and route/productivity sheets as required by law or policy.
• Follow safety standards and lock out/tag out procedures during operation.
