Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, seat guests, and manage reservations. You will create a warm first impression, coordinate with the FOH team, and keep the host stand clean and efficient.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills, the ability to stand for long periods, and reliable transportation. Training and growth opportunities are available as the restaurant expands.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• 18+ age requirements for FOH positions.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Open doors and create a friendly, inviting first impression.
• Escort guests to their table and set expectations for their experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy.
• Communicate wait times clearly during peak volume.
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entryway.
• Support dining room by bussing and resetting tables as needed.
• Collaborate with Front of House to ensure smooth service.
