Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is hiring a Host to warmly welcome guests, escort them to tables, and manage reservations with OpenTable. You will ensure a friendly first impression, maintain a clean host stand, and collaborate with the Front of House team to keep service running smoothly.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to lift up to 25 pounds, and comfortable standing for long periods. We offer flexible schedules and opportunities for growth in a growing restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset with patient, friendly approach.
• Maintain positive working relationships with team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• 18+ age requirements for FOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Open doors and create a friendly, inviting first impression.
• Escort guests to their table and set expectations for their experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy and care.
• Communicate wait times clearly and professionally during peak volume.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entryway.
• Support the dining room by clearing and resetting tables (bussing) as needed to maintain flow and cleanliness.
• Partner with the Front of House team to ensure smooth, seamless service.
