Job summary

Volt is actively seeking a Warehouse Worker 2 for our Old Lyme, CT location. You will support stock receipt, counting, storage, and labeling, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, with 2–4 years of Material Handler experience. Shift: 4:30pm–2:30am, Monday–Friday. Pay ranges from $18.50 to $19.00 per hour, with eligibility for Volt benefits.

Volt is immediately hiring for Warehouse Worker 2 in Old Lyme CT.

• Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using computer.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Help or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
• Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

This is a full-time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.

2-4 years' experience required with Material handler.

Shift: 4:30pm to 2:30am (Monday - Friday)

Pay Rate: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
