Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is hiring for a full-time Warehouse Associate at our thrift store in Illinois. You will support warehouse operations, price merchandise, process donations, and help mentor program beneficiaries through work therapy development.

You will work a 40-hour week with a start time around 7:30am, and receive paid training, coaching, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately
• Collect and track donor information
• Process donations including clothing and accessories
• Process donations including household items
• Process electronics and furniture
• Handle jewelry and collectibles
• Baler, compactor, forklift, elevator and other equipment may be operated
• Paid training on processing standards and warehouse procedures

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Hours: 7:30am-4:0pm

What You’ll Do

Warehouse Operations

Donation Processing

• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately

• Process various types of donations including
• Clothing and accessories
• Household items
• Electronics
• Furniture and antiques
• Jewelry and collectibles

Equipment Operation May Be Trained To Operate

• Baler
• Compactor
• Forklift
• Elevator
• Other warehouse equipment

Training Provided

• Paid training on processing standards and warehouse procedures
• Ongoing coaching and support from Warehouse leadership
