Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory in Rockford, IL is seeking a part-time Warehouse Associate to support thrift store operations. This role combines hands-on warehouse tasks with donor relations and data entry, helping convert donations into program funding.

You will work 25 hours per week, including mornings, afternoons and holidays as scheduled. A high school diploma is preferred, English proficiency is required, and prior warehouse experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products within the warehouse.
• Price merchandise according to guidelines.
• Track production numbers and complete reports.
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs and receipts.
• Collect and track donor information.
• Process various types of donations including clothing, household items, electronics, furniture, jewelry.

Location: Rockford, IL Pay: $15.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time Schedule: 25 hours per week, including mornings, afternoons and holidays as scheduled

This dynamic role combines hands-on warehouse operations with the opportunity to mentor and support program beneficiaries in their work therapy development. You'll help maintain an organized warehouse while making a meaningful impact in people's lives.

What You’ll Do

Warehouse Operations

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately
• Collect and track donor information
• Process various types of donations including:
• Clothing and accessories
• Household items
• Electronics
• Furniture and antiques
• Jewelry and collectibles

Equipment Operation

May be trained to operate:

• Baler
• Compactor
• Elevator
• Other warehouse equipment

Training Provided

• Paid training on processing standards and warehouse procedures
