Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Warehouse Worker II to support warehouse operations and donation processing. The role offers full-time hours, with a 40-hour schedule and paid training, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

You will help load/unload products, price items, maintain clean work areas, and assist donors while learning safe equipment operation and reporting processes. This is a mission-driven opportunity with growth and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately
• Collect and track donor information
• Process donations including clothing, household items, electronics, furniture and antiques
• Possibly operate baler, compactor, forklift, elevator, and other warehouse equipment

What You’ll Do

Warehouse Operations

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports

• Operate warehouse equipment as trained

Donation Processing

• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately
• Collect and track donor information
• Process various types of donations including:
• Clothing and accessories
• Household items
• Electronics
• Furniture and antiques
• Jewelry and collectibles

Equipment Operation May be trained to operate:

• Baler
• Compactor
• Forklift
• Elevator
• Other warehouse equipment

Training Provided

• Paid training on processing standards and warehouse procedures
